HOW IT ALL STARTED
Joiel’s center of joy is rooted in the love of God, her husband of over three decades, their adult children and family pet, Samba.
Joiel is the Founder x CEO of JoiElevate™ designed exclusively for accomplished leaders and emerging leaders to lead lives of authentic joy with intention achieved by multigenerational collaborative mentorship and networking.
Approximately one year ago, I entered a season of deep prayer and meditation regarding my purpose. I've known for the past two decades from all my research, writing, and public speaking on the topic of purpose, that one's purpose is directly linked to the following elements: that thing that gives you incredible energy even if you're working on it non-stop, somehow it energizes you. Purpose always serves others, not just you. Purpose comes naturally to you and is not forced.
During this timeframe of intentional reflection, over the course of months, the word elevate entered into my consciousness. I mean, seriously entered! Everywhere I turned, "elevate" would appear. As I scrolled through social media, "elevate", appeared in multiple posts as I drank my morning tea and read a book, "elevate" would leap off of the page, as I sat bleary eyed on public transportation enroute to the office "elevate" would appear on the transit screen, as I watched a cable news program, "elevate", there it is again, just below the anchors banner, as I sat in an Uber around midnight only to look up and see "ELEVATE" on a hugh billboard just above my head.
I began to think and pray "Am I supposed to do something with this word elevate?”
Then, one day while pulling over my head, a company branded logo shirt that I've worn several times over the past two years, I happened to glance at the label on the shirt apparel and you guessed it - E L E V A T E.
It finally came to a clear point of self-awareness when I wrote my name on the Notes section of my phone: J O I E L then EVATE - JoiELEVATE.
My purpose is to inspire, encourage, and guide others to a higher elevation of living, working, and serving. I believe you can accomplish all of the aforementioned with JOY!

THREE FUN FACTS ABOUT JOIEL.
I trained and served as a professionally licensed cardio kicking boxing instructor for over 15 years, providing instruction across the Northeast USA.

I performed on the Carnegie Hall stage as a classically trained flutist.

For 11 years, I was a host and moderator of a talk show featuring national Public Health experts. My on-call time in the studio was 5am to be ready for the 9am live broadcast.
